Huntington Beach Medical Group [HBMG] was founded in 1992 in response to the advent of Managed Care and HMOs into our area. The founding members recognized that in order to protect the rights of the physicians and their patients, they must present a united front. The formation of Huntington Beach Medical Group was the solution.
The original roster of 57 physicians has grown to over 90. To participate in Managed Care, HBMG has relationships with three local IPAs: Prospect Medical Group, ADOC, and Monarch Health Care. Collectively the members participate in over 20 insurance plans including Medicare, Cal Optima, Healthy Families, Worker's Compensation and most PPOs.
The mission of Huntington Beach Medical Group is to establish long-lasting relationships with patients, making their healthcare a top priority. To establish this high level of quality care, a credentialing panel carefully reviews the qualifications of each new applicant who is seeking to become a provider for HBMG. Thus you can be assured that Huntington Beach Medical Group of is made up only of the finest physicians in the area.
